I had already told you that I am not an admin. I said we will focus. I am sorry if you are mistaken.
Tell me, convince me how this discussion of the PD will help in our goals of IV.
We have a CIR that is going no where. We need to dicuss what he said, she said about CIR and what is happening or going to happen in senate. We don't have time to discuss this PD.
If you want to discuss, do it by all means. We will only be wavering from the focus. Tha's my point.

I can't port to EB2, as my education is combinational (Diploma + AMIE), not 4-year single degree.

Pappu excellent post full of true facts. Being smart in my opinion means being knowledgeable and aware of the current situation at any given point of time rather than being ignorant and indifferent. Most of the time doing some basic research can lead an individual to the right option that is legally consistent and correct, it�s really never too late to correct course. Yes there will be street smart people (Sub labor being one example) who will game the system but besides other things let�s accept that they know how things work. Life is about learning and then What Next? It�s really about continuous improvement and trying to move in the right direction. Not having the desired end result is fine but not doing anything or not trying is bad. Very nice and motivating stories from some of the veteran�s you give us the motivation to hang on. OP you seem to have started a nice discussion.

Members, who were complaining about the slow processing of I-140's at TSC & NSC, now is the time to stand up and get counted. Please take the time to review the letter and then mail the DHS Form 7001 along with the letter to USCIS Ombudsman's office.
Members who have already done so, please encourage others suffering from these delays to join this campaign to make it effective. Also, please post on this thread once you have mailed the letters, so that others get motivated to join.

i called 3 senators so far,
they r not sharing the senators stand but they are saying we understand this and we will pass on your message.

Even though my priority date is 2005 dec under EB3 , i have one soft LUD on my and my dependentcaseon feb 10 amd one more soft LUD on primary applicant case on feb 27 09...

Hi ,
We applied I-485 in july and still waiting for receipt number. Also My wifes H4 visa expires on July 30 and her I-539 is pending. Can we use GC pending status to get driving license by showing the EAC receipt number ???

Visa Bulletin suggests that severe cut-off date retrogressions are likely to occur early in FY 2008, which starts on October 1, 2007.

There is another thread on this same topic that presents a discussion on how the ammendment was not rejected per se, but it was more like including the ammendment that was rejected.
From the daily dairy (thomas.loc.gov):
"By 55 yeas to 40 nays..Senate rejected the motion .. with respect to Cornyn Amendment No. 2339 (to Amendment No. 2327), to provide interim relief .... Subsequently, the point of order that the amendment, was not germane, was sustained, and the amendment thus fell."

I just came to know about this site on July 11.
Liked the idea about sending flowers and immediately send one basket of flowers to Mr Emilio for July 12 delivery along with a get well soon card.:) Also send letters to local congressmen etc.
After this amazingly delightful news yesterday, I gave $200 to IV..and as mentioned earlier have set up a $50/m recurring deposit just now.
For all those who have still not contributed...

I think this question may have been addressed before, so I apologize for the duplication.
I am trying to change my job and have an approved I-140 with a priority date of August 2006. The question is if I am successful in porting my old August PD for my new I-140 applied after May 2007, would I come under this new merit system? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
